Bio
Coach Corey was born and raised in the DC area. He was a multi-sport athlete who is now a professional certified sports trainer and volleyball coach with over 15 years of experience. Corey’s playing experience covers little league, high school, collegiate and semi-professional level. Corey attended Morgan State University from 2004-2007. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree majoring in communications with a minor in exercise science. Corey was a 3yr football player while playing semi-professional men’s volleyball in Baltimore, MD.
Playing Experience:
- Ages 9-14: Played volleyball for Washington D.C. boys and girls club volleyball while being trained by Morgan State University Assistant Coach Nicole Wallace.
- Ages 14-17: Played regional boys volleyball for the Maryland Mustangs teen league.
- 2002: Played for the club team/league at Montgomery College
- 2004-2007: Played Competitive Semi Professional Men’s League in Baltimore, MD
- 2013 -2014: Played Competitive Semi Pro Volleyball for New York Urban Professionals (Top Division) Men’s League
Coaching Experience:
- 2007-20010: Coached High School volleyball and ran camps and clinics at Queen Anne School (Upper Marlboro, MD)
- 2014-2017: Ran volleyball camps and Clinics at Kings Christian School
- 2018-Present: Varsity Head Volleyball Coach at Indian Creek High School (Crownsville Maryland) (won championship in first season and only 5 losses in 3 years)
- 2018/19: Assistant Coach 14’s Elite(Travel Team) Maryland Juniors VBC
- 2019/20: Head Coach 17’s (Second Travel Team) Maryland Juniors VBC
- 2020/21: Head Coach 15’s Elite (Travel Team) Maryland Juniors VBC
