Eric Turner

Eric Turner started his volleyball career playing on the beaches of Southern California as a kid. In high school, he was the setter for Edison High School in Huntington Beach, CA. Eric helped lead the team to multiple Sunset League titles and a semi-final appearance in the highly competitive CIF-4A playoffs his senior year. He then traveled across the country to continue his volleyball career at George Mason University in the early 90’s.

After getting married and having two kids, he hung up his volleyball shoes for a pair of cleats and started coaching soccer in 2006. Eric coached his daughter and son in both recreational and travel soccer until 2014, helping found the South County Athletic Association Travel Soccer program. He stays in tune with the soccer community as a USSF certified referee officiating competitive matches in the DC area.

Eric is focused on developing the foundational skills required to become an elite player. You must master the basics of pass, set, hit before you can excel as a top-level volleyball athlete.
