Jack Bolz
PROGRAM MASTER COACH
Bio
Jack is from Park Ridge, Illinois, a suburb just outside of Chicago. He has been playing volleyball since he was 14, yet he didn’t start playing club until his sophomore year of high school. He started on his varsity high school team for three years(captain for 2), earning All-Conference(2x) and All-Area awards. He also played club volleyball year-round.
Now, Jack is a redshirt junior at George Mason University, where he plays opposite for the Patriots men’s volleyball team. He also has a background in setting.
In his first three years at George Mason, Jack has been named to the All-EIVA Academic Team(2x), named a Provost Scholar Athlete(2x), and named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors Academic All-State Team(2x). This past season, Jack led the team with 348 kills, averaging 3.55 kills per set. His 2022 performance earned him EIVA All-Conference Second Team honors.
It is important to note that Jack is left-handed, which adds a bit of versatility to his play style when playing both opposite and setter.
This past year, Jack has been a reliable master coach, lead coach, and private lesson coach here at The St. James. His involvement in our STJ Summer Camps, the All-Skills and HS Prep Clinics, and our Boys Summer Clinics are some of his most notable coaching roles from 2022. We look forward to bringing him back this year!
