Jaelyn Cochenour moved around growing up but settled in Bellefontaine, OH from 7th grade until she left for college. She fell in love with volleyball and pursued getting better to be able to play in college. She played varsity 3 of her four years of high school. She received a scholarship to play volleyball at Cincinnati Christian University where she started all three years, as she graduated a year early. Jaelyn began coaching for West Liberty-Salem High School as the freshmen coach her first year. Her second year she was promoted to varsity assistant. She coached 15s and 16s at Champaign County Volleyball Club in 2019 and 2020, but had to put coaching aside due to having children and moving to Virginia.

Jaelyn currently coaches at Justice High School as the JV assistant and is excited to be back in the gym. Coaching is her passion and she loves to help players hone their skills and achieve their goals. She believes volleyball is a great place to learn how to be responsible, a team player and overcome adversity. Volleyball has always been a safe haven for her and she hopes to foster that for every player she coaches.
