Makena Trinh

Makena grew up in Chesapeake Virginia. She attended StoneBridge School where she began playing volleyball in sixth grade. She was a member of the varsity team for five years, being a starter for four. During that time she helped lead her team to three metro conference championships, two undefeated seasons, and two years of being state finalists.

She played for Coastal Volleyball club, and NVBC. She attended Old Dominion University for her undergrad and played club and intramural volleyball, graduated in 2019. She graduated from West Virginia University in 2021 receiving her masters degree. This will be her third season as an assistant coach, second season coaching for the St.James. Makena is also an assistant Varsity coach and head JV coach at Edison High School for the 2023 season.
