Bio
Originally from California, Coach Myles has been playing competitive volleyball for 18 years and coaching for more than 10 years. Myles prepped as a 2-year Varsity MB/RS at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, and played club for 3 years at SCVC, helping his team earn Top-10 finishes at Nationals in 2008 and 2010. He was blessed to have incredible coaching along the way, including from PLNU’s Jon Scott, Pepperdine/UT’s David Hunt, and Moorpark College’s Adam Black.
Myles began player-coaching while at Davidson College and GWU, and never looked back. Over the last 10+ years of coaching at HS, club, and collegiate levels, Myles has been to Nationals 6 times (earning 5th in 2016), helped win a Texas State Championship, several division and league titles in TX, CA & VA, and earned Virginia’s National District Coach of the Year in 2024. Along the way, he has proudly guided more than 10+ of his former players into NCAA collegiate volleyball!
Since moving to the DMV, Myles has head coached with BRYC, Monument, and begins his 3rd year at The St James; He has also coached at The Potomac School, Alexandra City HS, Sidwell Friends School, and now leads the Varsity Boys Volleyball Program at Hayfield Secondary School. Myles is IMPACT, SafeSport, and Positive-Coaching Alliance Certified and still finds time to compete locally on the sand and grass courts, & the occasional indoor tourney!
