Paris Morris
Girls 16 Navy Assistant Coach
Bio
Coach Paris is a passionate volleyball coach, certified personal trainer, and program manager at The St. James, now entering her third season with STJ. With a background in both athletics and military, Paris brings a unique blend of discipline, energy, and heart to the court and is committed to turning every player into not only a strong athlete, but an even better person.
A former libero, Paris grew up loving the grit, strategy, and connection that defines great (and fun) volleyball. She has coached 16U, 17U, JV, and Varsity high school teams, and her experience also includes work alongside St. James’ veteran coaches, as well as Olympic-level athletes and prolific coaches such as Alan Knipe, Paula Weishoff, Pat Powers and Coach Kiy through elite clinics and camps, all of which helped shape a high-performance coaching style that balances structure with passion and coaching the person not just the skill.
As a certified strength & conditioning specialist, Paris brings a holistic approach to player development, emphasizing mobility, injury prevention, and fitness sustainability. Her coaching philosophy is rooted in connection, mutual respect, and the belief that iron sharpens iron and that players grow best when they’re challenged and supported by those around them.
Paris also teaches athletes to respect the process, reminding them that growth takes time and that real development isn’t instantaneous. She believes in maturing in due time, so athletes are built to last, not just to perform.
Outside the gym, Paris is a student of the game (and a proud Louisville Volleyball fan) who enjoys cycling, weight training, drawing, cooking, and anything that sparks healthy competition. Whether leading a practice or building a season from the ground up, Paris shows up with intention, integrity, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every athlete they coach.
