Zach Talamoa
Boys 15 Navy Head Coach
Bio
Zach Talamoa is originally from Hawaii, but now lives in Fairfax, Virginia. He started playing volleyball at the age of 9 but started really loving the sport at age 11. Prior to joining The St. James staff, Zach played for Braddock Road Volleyball Club where his team qualified for nationals six years in row. He was then recruited to play Division 1 volleyball at George Mason University as a setter from 2019-2022. In his 2021 season, he led the EIVA conference in assists per set and was an All-EIVA Honorable Mention.
In Zach’s first year of coaching, his U14 St. James’ team won four out of five of the U14 tournaments. As he goes into his second year with us, his goal at The St. James is to give back to the community and help bring up the next generation of volleyball players. He believes in making the DMV area a hotspot for volleyball to create more opportunities for the players at the St. James.
